Investigator Use

OSINT Workbench is a portable Windows desktop application for structured OSINT case management, link analysis, entity tracking, and offline investigation reporting.

For OSINT investigators, OSINT Workbench provides an offline-first workspace for building cases around people, companies, domains, social profiles, emails, phones, addresses, usernames, and IP addresses. Each case is stored locally in its own SQLite file, making it suitable for practitioners who need to keep investigation data on their own machine rather than in a cloud platform.

The tool supports typed relationships, confidence levels, force-directed and hierarchical entity graphs, notes, evidence attachments, snapshots, and change comparison over time. Investigators can enrich domains and other indicators using public API integrations including RDAP, DNS, IP geolocation, Shodan InternetDB, crt.sh, GitHub, and Reddit.

OSINT Workbench is useful for analysts, journalists, researchers, and investigators who need a lightweight case-building environment with visual link analysis and self-contained HTML report export. Its portable Windows EXE design avoids Python dependency issues, accounts, subscriptions, installers, and cloud storage.

Limitations: OSINT Workbench is Windows-only and depends on external public APIs for live enrichment, so availability, completeness, and rate limits may vary. API-derived findings should be treated as leads and corroborated with independent sources before being used in formal reporting.
