osintradar is a curated directory of open-source intelligence tools, organized by investigation workflow. It's built for practitioners — journalists, security researchers, investigators, and analysts — who need reliable tools that actually work.
Is osintradar free to use?
Yes. Browsing the directory, using the free tools, and searching are all free. Some tools listed in the directory are paid or freemium — that's always indicated on the tool page.
Who is this for?
Primarily investigators, security researchers, journalists, and analysts doing open-source research. The directory is structured around what you're trying to find, not what technology the tool uses.
Tools & resources
How do you curate and verify tools?
Each tool is reviewed for relevance, maintenance status, and actual OSINT utility. Health checks run periodically to catch dead links, expired domains, and archived repos. Tools that fail get flagged or removed, not left listed as if they still work.
Can I suggest a new tool?
Yes — use the Submit a tool form. Include the tool name, URL, and a brief description of its OSINT use case. All submissions are reviewed before publication.
How often are tools updated?
Tool listings are reviewed and updated at least monthly. Automated health checks run more frequently to catch outages and redirect changes. Critical updates (tool goes down, major feature change) happen as soon as they're noticed.
Are the tools safe to use?
We list legitimate tools, but always verify sources before running anything locally. A listing here means the tool is real and relevant — not that we've audited its code. Use OSINT tools lawfully and in accordance with local regulations.
Account & access
Do I need an account to use osintradar?
No. The entire directory, search, and all browser-based tools are fully available without an account. No login, no sign-up, no tracking wall.
Contributing
How can I contribute?
Submit new tools, report dead or outdated links, or suggest missing categories through the contact form. The directory improves from people who actually use it noticing things that are wrong.
Is osintradar open source?
Yes — MIT license. The source is available on GitHub. Developer contributions are welcome.
Technical
How do I report a bug or security issue?
Use the contact form with "Report an Issue" as the subject. Security issues are prioritized — please include as much detail as possible.
